Charity and Fundraising

At Kingsley school we enjoy raising money for charities. It gives us the opportunity to think about other people less fortunate than us.

We raise money in a number of different ways including; non-uniform/dressing up days, sporting activities, writing and performing songs and other musical activities. You can see below a selection of our more recent fund raising activities.

Turning Blue Monday Bright

A big thank you to the students and staff for raising a fantastic sum of £233.80 by turning Blue Monday Bright! All donations will go to the Headlight Project based in Stockton on Tees.

The third Monday in January is (15th this year) often referred to as Blue Monday. This is when there are most absences from work, days off school, and generally, a day when, with the Christmas festivities a fading memory, people may be feeling low and struggling with their mental health. Here at Kingsley we want to help turn it from Blue to Bright in support of The Blue Monday Bright Awareness Campaign.

We are asking for children to be creative, and to wear something bright coloured, such as orange (or any bright clothing you have) for school on Monday. Each child will be given a wristband to support The Headlight Project.

All donations welcome, proceeds will go to The Headlight Project.

Thanks again for your continued support.

Recycling for Fundraising in School

We are really excited to be working with Fundraise and Recycle Ltd. for the purpose of fundraising and recycling in school. They are a north east based company who specialise in the recycling of unwanted and unloved clothing, bags, shoes (pairs) and toys for collection and redistribution.

Hopefully by encouraging your child to engage with the project they will begin to learn the effect waste has on the environment and how we can all play our part in effecting change.

They will also be helping school to raise funds for our own specific causes.

We now have a clothes recycling bin on the school yard which will help!  Please support us and donate some of your old items.

Our video for Children in Need 2016 is so good BBC Tees have been into school to talk to Mrs Allott, Mr Bush and the choir and they played the song on the radio too! It was incredibly exciting! We all listened in during registration in our classrooms!
