Swimming Progress 2015/2016

As a school, we believe that it is really important that all children learn to swim. Therefore, we have spent part of our PE pupil premium funding on providing additional swimming lessons for our Y3 children and weekly top up swimming sessions for some of our Y6 children.

  1. progress is outlined below.

We are very proud of our children’s achievements!

April 2016 - September 2016

During the Summer tern, we evaluated as a school the impact of the additional swimming lessons. Please see progress above. Due to the changes in costings for our normal swimming lessons, our allocated swimming lessons would reduce from 2 year groups to 1. The progress (levels and confidence), pupil responses and parent responses confirmed our belief that swimming provision was of the upmost importance for our children. As our current provider could now only provide for 1 year group with our budgeted swimming cost centre, we decided to use some of the allocated PE premium to continue to provide additional swimming.
