At Kingsley we have always been passionate about introducing our children to other cultures and, in particular, igniting their enthusiasm for all things French. The teaching of a foreign language fosters curiosity and greater understanding of the world. We believe that by laying the foundations early we build confidence and provide an excellent basis for future language learning. Children will have the opportunity to experience and use a foreign language in a variety of contexts: singing songs, holding a conversation with a friend, reading texts, understanding and responding to spoken language and expressing their own thoughts and ideas. Children throughout the whole school will have the opportunity to experience French culture through music, food, art and festivals.
