PSHE Information

Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education

At Kingsley, we know PSHE needs to be at the centre of everything we do. We promote self esteem and emotional well being in all aspects of school through the curriculum, the environment and the whole school ethos.  During their time at our school, they will be provided with a range of activities that will develop their personal and social skills, allowing them to build meaningful worthwhile relationships with others based on mutual respect both in and out of school.

Aspects of PSHE include drug education, sex and relationships education, healthy eating and physical activity and emotional well being.  Children are also taught vital life skills such as first aid and road safety.

If you have any questions or concerns about sensitive issues please feel free to contact your child's class teacher who will be happy to help.

As from September 2020, The Department for Education (DfE) has announced statutory changes to Relationships Education, Sex and Relationships Education (RSE) and Health Education curriculum expectations which was previously part of our PSHE curriculum. These changes will come into effect at Kingsley Primary School beginning summer term 2021. All schools are required to comply with the updated requirements.
