  • School Update - 22 May

    Fri 22 May 2020

    Dear Parents,

I would like to give you a little more information regarding the reopening of our school. We have agreed, with the council and other schools in the town, that we will look at reopening no earlier than 8th June. We are expecting a government announcement during half term regarding the tests that need to be met for wider reopening. Once the conditions are right (no earlier than 8th June) we will begin, very gradually, offering places to the year groups specified by the government. In the first instance, we intend to offer places to year 6 pupils. Each parent must make their own decision on whether they would like their child to return to school.

After the half term, I will be in touch to tell you more of our plans and I will also explain - in detail - what school will be like for returning pupils. After half term, we will contact parents of year 6 pupils by telephone to ask for your decision. This will give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. We remain open for the children of key workers and vulnerable children. In the meantime please stay safe and try and have a relaxing half term.

  • School Update

    Fri 15 May 2020

    Hi All,

I'm sorry I haven't been able to update you this week on the situation regarding more pupils returning to school. I have been involved in long discussions with our cluster and the local authority and the situation has changed on what feels like an hourly basis. The council have tonight put out a statement saying schools in Hartlepool will not be opening on the 1st June. This is due to the fact that the level of infections in the town continues to rise. I am going to a meeting on Wednesday and I hope to be able to update you all then.

For now we continue as we are, remaining open to the children of key workers and vulnerable children.

Please be assured that when we do open we will have everyone's best interests at heart.

  • Staying Safe Online

    Fri 15 May 2020

The impact of COVID-19 means that most of us will be at home for an extended period and are likely to be spending increasing amounts of time online. It also means that children are spending more time online than they have previously.

The link below will send you to a document and a range of resources that will support you in keeping your children safe online.

  • Government Update

    Sun 10 May 2020

    Dear Parents/Carers,

I am sure you will have seen the update given by the Prime Minister on Sunday evening. At the moment we know as much as you. We are expecting guidance to be released later this week. Please be reassured that as soon as we have any further information we will let you know.

    Thank you for your patience

  • VE Day Celebrations

    Mon 04 May 2020

As it is VE day on Friday we would like to encourage you all to celebrate at home.

We are hoping that as part of the celebrations the children and their families could learn the song "We'll Meet Again" and record themselves (and their families if they are brave enough) and email it into school to be shared online.

The videos to help learn the song and the backing track for when they record themselves are available following the link below.
