  • It's Coming Home Day - Friday 9th July

    Thu 08 Jul 2021

To celebrate England’s historic achievement in reaching our first major final in 55 years, Friday (tomorrow) we will be renamed as ‘It’s Coming Home Day’. Children can come to school dressed in red, white, blue or in football tops including face or hair paint. There is no need to bring any money.

If you are currently at home isolating you can dress up at home and send us pictures on google classrooms.

Let’s all join in wishing the team well for the final on Sunday.

  • Important Message for Parents

    Wed 07 Jul 2021

    Dear Parents/Carers

As you are all aware it has been a difficult two weeks for us all with lots of bubble closures across school.

I completely understand this has caused some anxiety for many of you. I wanted to reassure you about some of the measures we have taken in school and also explain about the spread of cases.

At present all of the cases across school in the separate bubbles are separate cases with causes from outside of school. We currently have only one case which could have come from within the bubble in school.

After extensive discussions with public health we are reassured that no cases have spread across bubbles in school and the isolations have worked to stop the spread.

After every positive case the areas used by the individual concerned have been deep cleaned and treated with a germ killing ozone machine.

There is a distinct rise in the number of cases across town at the moment and this is reflected in our families and community.

All of our protective measures in school remain robust and public health are happy we are taking every precaution possible.

As bubbles begin to return to school next week we will continue with every precaution.

We look forward to welcoming the children back to enjoy the end of the school year.

Thank you for your continued support.

    Yours sincerely

    Mrs Darby

  • Important Message for Y3 Parents

    Tue 06 Jul 2021

    Message for year 3  parents.
Due to a positive PCR in year 3 that we received this morning all year 3 children now need to isolate, this includes both classes. We are still awaiting the PCR confirmation from the lateral flow from Mrs Ords class. This new result however means the children will have to isolate until tuesday 13th July regardless of that result.
We will be telephoning parents from Mrs Ord's class today. We have already attempted to telephone Miss Simpson's class this morning.

    Mon 05 Jul 2021

    Dear Parents,

We have this afternoon been informed of a positive lateral flow in year 2. Unfortunately this means all children need to isolate until we receive the result from the follow up PCR test. I spoke to parents from Miss Spowarts class on the yard at home time. Mrs Allott is telephoning parents from Miss Roache's class now. As soon as we hear the result of the PCR test we will be back in touch.

If your child was absent from school today there is no need for isolation and your child can come to school as normal.

    Thank you

    Mrs Darby

    Dear Parents/Carers,
We have been informed this afternoon of a positive lateral flow test in Mrs Ord's Year 3 class. Unfortunately this means the whole class will need to isolate while we wait for the PCR test result. We have attempted to telephone all  affected families tonight. We will be in touch as soon as the PCR result is received. This does not affect Miss Simpson's Year 3 class.
    Thank you
