This week we launched a Wake up and Shake up breakfast club. It has been lovely to see so many children at school for 8am taking part in physical activity! The children are thoroughly enjoying themselves and many are trying foods and fruits they haven't tried before.
Thank you for your continued support.

Another fantastic week for our free wake up and shake up breakfast club! We are pleased to say 97 children are accessing the club across the week. The children certainly enjoyed the pancakes with fresh fruit and the beans on toast this week! Thank you for your continued support to ensure your children arrive at school for 8am. Just to remind all parents and carers that attendance at the club is being closely monitored as we do have children waiting for a place.

99 children are currently on the register for the wake up and shake up breakfast club each week. Last year, we only had 8 children attending a sporting club before school.
227 sessions a week have been offered for after half term.
How can we improve our wake up and shake up breakfast club?
Comment |
Response/ Action |
Can we play basketball when we go outside? |
Yes you can. Mr Matthews will plan this activity into the sessions. |
Can we have toast for breakfast, with jam? |
Yes. We already offer toast. We have added jam to next week’s shopping order. |
Can we have better songs on? |
Song requests can be given to any of the adults in wake up and shake up. |
Can we use more exercise equipment? |
Staff to speak to children to see what equipment they would like to use. |
Can we do some different activities? |
Staff to speak to children to see what activities they would like to participate in. |
Can you open the doors before 8am to prevent the busy car park? |
Unfortunately, we are unable to open the doors any early than 8am as staff are contracted to these hours and we need to ensure we have the correct staff to pupil ratio before the doors open. |
The children have learned so many skills by taking part in the table tennis after school clubs.
Well done for making it through to the Tees Valley table tennis finals!
