PE Premium Spend and Impact 2023-2024

Key achievements to date until July 2024

Areas for further improvement and baseline of evidence need:

 

  • New PE scheme of planning rolled out to give varied lesson plans and ideas.
  • Getting through to more county level competitions and national competitions.
  • Specialist coaches provided clubs and lessons to children across school.
  • #letgirlsplay national event was a success promoting football for girls in school.

 

 

  • Continue to get a range of sports coaches and dance coaches in to increase teachers and children’s knowledge and skills.
  • Promote more town club links.
  • To look at activities on a playtime and dinnertime and schedule rotation of activities and games.
  • Look at increasing amount of intra school competitions.

Schools can choose to use the Primary PE and sport premium to provide additional provision for swimming but this must be for activity over and above the national curriculum requirements. Have you used it in this way?

Develop afterschool sports clubs for every year group. Offering a wide variety of sports and changing the sports on offer termly to increase participation.

All children in each year group have the opportunity to attend an afterschool sports club. Children will be exposed to a wide range of different sports. All of this is free of charge to parents.

Students have undertaken a range of sports therefore developing their range of skills and knowledge.

Pupils have tried new sports for the first time widening their experience of physical activity.

Continue carrying out The Daily Mile with the emphasis on pupil health and wellbeing. Other activities also take place such as using gym equipment/tyres/skips etc during this time.

Skipping coach for Y4 and Y2

Skipping coach to attend and work with Y4 and Y2  children.

Year 5 children attended a block of swimming to achieve confidence and competency in the water.
