  • Nursery Closure 10.10.20

    Sat 10 Oct 2020

    Dear Parents/Carers

Just to inform you that we have had a confirmed positive Covid-19 case in school which only affects morning nursery children who were in on Tuesday 6th and Wednesday 7th October.

We have risk assessed the situation with Public Health and the Local Authority this morning and parents of all affected children have been contacted via telephone today.

Unfortunately, the nursery will need to close as the staff need to isolate. Nursery will reopen on Wednesday 21st October.

All other children can come into school as normal on Monday as it does not affect any other year groups.

Thank you for your continued support.

    Mrs Darby

  • Online Safety update - YUBO

    Tue 08 Sep 2020

We have been made aware of a new app called YUBO that young people are accessing.

It is aimed at young people to 'make new friends' in their local areas. The app links to Snapchat and has a Tinder like function that allows the user to swipe on profiles they like.  It has been reported that there are a number of people on there that are posing as children and posting pictures of piles of money to encourage children to open up conversations with them.

Please ensure your children have not downloaded this app and are not using it. In school, we teach the children that the only friends they should have on social media are people that they know face to face. Please reinforce this at home to ensure your children stay safe.

If you require any more information, please contact school.

  • Online Safety update - Tik Tok

    Tue 08 Sep 2020

We have been made aware of an inappropriate video circulating on Tik Tok ('For You Page' area).

If your child uses this app, please advise them to either stay off the app for a while or to only access the 'Following' area of their profile.

If you require any further details, please contact school.
