    Dear Parent/Carer,

We have created packs for all children to complete at home if or when they might need to self-isolate. These will be going out with your child tonight.  If your child is currently in school please keep these packs for any possible future closures.

  • Coronavirus Update 16th March 2020

    Mon 16 Mar 2020

    Dear Parents,

I wanted to update you today about the further action we are taking with regard to the Coronavirus (Covid-19).

In order to minimise the opportunities for children from different classes and year groups to mix we have decided that:

    • From today no assemblies will take place in school
    • Unfortunately we are cancelling this week's discos (all payments will be carried over to our next disco unless specifically request a refund at the office.
    • We are sterilizing door handles and handrails more frequently
    • KS1 Base trip tomorrow to the theatre has been cancelled (all donations will be refunded)

We will continue to follow advice from the government and we are receiving updates daily.

    Thank you.

  • Coronavirus Update

    Sat 14 Mar 2020
    13 March 2020
    Dear Parents
I wanted to update you today about the current situation with regards to Coronavirus (Covid-19).
I can confirm that at present we have no cases of Coronavirus reported in school.
We are following advice from the government and we are receiving updates daily. As I am sure you all know
we take the health and safety of our school community very seriously and as such we are taking every
    precaution necessary.
    At present we have;
 Shown all of the children the correct handwashing method
 Increased the frequency of handwashing
 Purchased additional supplies of tissues/soap etc.
 Increased the frequency of disinfecting toys/equipment
 Ordered new dispensers to switch from bars to liquid soap right across school
    Going forward we ask you to support us in the following ways;
 Encourage the handwashing protocol at home
 Monitor everyone’s health and keep your child at home if they have a temperature or a new persistent
    cough
 Encourage the correct use of tissues to catch coughs and sneezes
 Keep yourself up to date with government advice regarding foreign travel and inform us if you have
been/are going to any relevant country
 Keep checking the school app/website for updates
We are monitoring all school activities carefully and we are assessing trips etc. on a case by case basis.
Government advice may change in the coming days/weeks and we will update you whenever we have new
information. We are preparing home learning packs for the children in case of future school closures.
For the time being we are continuing our daily life in school and we appreciate your continued support at this
    difficult time.
    Yours sincerely
    Mrs A J Darby

    Safer Internet Day 2020

Today the Digital Leaders held 2 assemblies. They spoke to the children from Key Stage 1 first and then Key Stage 2. They talked about how to stay safe online and what an online identity is. They also checked that everyone still knew how to stay safe and how to keep their personal information private by discussing different scenarios.

  • Our Playground Developments

    Wed 27 Nov 2019

    Our Playground Developments

We are excited to announce, that we have enhanced our school grounds through the addition of exciting playground equipment. One of our latest developments include a Multi-Use Games Area that has extended our sporting curriculum.

Our new MUGA is an enclosed space with sport markings, where the children can practice and develop their technique, fundamental movement skills and cardiovascular fitness. Along with gaining a love for sport, we hope our new Multi Use Games Area will encourage children to lead a healthier lifestyle.

For this project, we worked with Pentagon Play who design and install outdoor learning environments for schools and nurseries. You can visit their website here – https://www.pentagonplay.co.uk/
