  • Times Tables Rockstars (TTRS)

    Tue 11 May 2021

    To: All Y2/3/4/5/6 parents

Your child will be bringing home a letter about TTRS today. It is recommended that your child does a little bit of TTRS every night at home (at least 5 times a week). This will help to develop their knowledge and fluency of times tables. Please read the letter for more details.

Thank you! The Kingsley Maths Team.

    Dear Parents,

We look forward to welcoming almost everyone back on Monday.

Unfortunately this is apart from year 1, who due to isolation requirements will return Tuesday 9th March.

A few points to remember next week,

    •  If you’ve been working at home please bring your home learning pack (including the home learning book) back to school.
    •  Remember to wear your uniform.
    •  Windows will be open so please bring a cardigan or sweatshirt.
    •  Dinner arrangements will be the same as before Christmas, dinner money is £10.25 a week and should be paid on Monday.
    •  The gates will be open from 8.30 to 9.15am, just like before.
    •   Home time will be the same as before Christmas and adults or older siblings on the yard should wear face coverings.

We are really looking forward to welcoming everyone back and we have lots of fun things planned. It is science week and teachers have planned some fantastic investigations.

    Have a lovely weekend.

    Mrs Darby

    Dear Parents,
We have today been informed of a positive case in school. This affects children in the Year 1 bubble  that were in school on Thursday and Friday. We have contacted affected parents this morning. All other children who are currently attending school can continue to attend.
As this affects the staff in year 1, all year 1 children will be unable to return to school( as per government guidance) until Tuesday 9th March. We will be in touch with more information tomorrow.
If you have any questions please contact school next week.
    Thank you

    Fri 12 Feb 2021

    Dear Children, Parents and Carers

    Half term has finally arrived.

I want to start by saying a huge well done to everyone who has completed their work at home or in school during this difficult time.

Lots of you : parents and children—have logged onto Google classrooms, followed the lessons and completed the work.  Everyone in school has loved seeing your fantastic work.

We appreciate how difficult it has been for some families to try and keep on track with all of the lessons and we are proud of everyone who has tried hard.

As it is now half term there will be no new learning uploaded and everyone can have a well deserved break.

New learning will begin on Monday 22nd

February, when school will reopen for those who are currently attending.

At the moment we do not know what the plans are for wider reopening other than the provisional date of 8th March. As soon as we know anymore we will be in touch.

Please follow the rules and stay safe over half term.

    Thank you for your continued

    Mrs Darby

  • Message for Year 6 Parents and Carers

    Fri 29 Jan 2021
Dear Year 6 Pupils Parents and Carers
As you know we should have been travelling to Carlton Camp a week on Monday. Due to the current restrictions this has obviously been cancelled.
We really feel this is an important experience for our year 6 pupils and we really don't want them to miss out when so many other things have been cancelled this year.
To try and avoid cancelling this trip altogether we have provisionally re-booked Carlton for the Summer term.
If restrictions allow, we will travel to Carlton for a 4 night trip on Friday 2nd July returning on Tuesday 6th July.
We are aware this trip is over a weekend but it was the only date available for a 4 night stay.
We really hope this can go ahead so please keep your fingers crossed.
We will send more information closer to the time.
    Thank you
    Mrs Darby
